Introduction

What Is

The Book of Science?

The Book of Science asks a central question:

What if we could keep what religions often provide at their best—community, meaning, morality, guidance, stories, rituals, and comfort—without deities and unsupported supernatural claims?

Many individuals want to live better and need something more than evidence-free self-help. They want belonging, structure, purpose, ethical guidance, practices for difficult moments, help with mortality, and a larger story that helps life feel connected to something greater than the isolated self. Yet many also cannot accept supernatural claims, dogma, superstition, mythology presented as fact, or systems that discourage questioning.

The Book of Science was written for those readers.

What You Will Discover

A Scientific Framework

for Living Better

01 — Foundations

As the foundational text of The Fellowship of Science, The Book of Science presents a serious framework for understanding reality and living more wisely within it. Drawing on more than 2,250 cited sources, including peer-reviewed scientific publications and historical references, it explores what science can reveal about reality, life, health, flourishing, suffering, morality, death, and the future.

02 — Scope

Across nineteen chapters , the book includes a science-grounded origin story of our universe’s emergence; an introduction to the history, methods, and principles of science; an evidence-informed account of the body and mind of members of Homo sapiens; practical guidance for health, behavior, self-regulation, moral conduct, and the reduction of suffering; and a science-based approach to myths and misconceptions, harmful conduct, grief, and mortality.

More Than Explanation

It offers practice.

Readers will find research-informed rituals, meditative practices, mantras, science-themed stories, parables, and poetry designed to help individuals flourish more, suffer less, think more clearly, care more deeply, and face life honestly.

Conviction

The Fellowship of Science is built around the conviction that reality does not become less meaningful when supernatural claims are removed.

Reality becomes more worthy of attention because what remains is real.
