The Fellowship of Science (TFOS) is a science-based, non-theistic religion and a developing community for those seeking meaning, belonging, and guidance grounded in scientific knowledge.
About Us
We are dedicated to promoting sustainable flourishing and preventing avoidable harm—for ourselves, for others, and for the world we share. Our teachings, Guiding Principles, rituals, practices, and traditions are informed by the best available scientific evidence and remain open to revision as knowledge advances, rather than being based on divine revelation, sacred authority, or supernatural claims.
TFOS offers a non-theistic religious path for those seeking many of the practical benefits that religions can provide—including community, ethical guidance, meaningful rituals, reflection, shared identity, and a sense of purpose—without requiring belief in a deity or the supernatural.

THE BOOK OF SCIENCE
The Book of Science (TBOS) is the foundational and guiding text of The Fellowship of Science. It introduces TFOS’s beliefs, Guiding Principles, Threats to Thriving, and rituals and practices, while examining science, our universe, health and flourishing, suffering, morality, mortality, the future, and more. Written for TFOSian and other curious readers alike, it offers knowledge, perspectives, and practical guidance intended to help readers make informed decisions, prevent avoidable harm, and promote sustainable flourishing.
